Update - January 2026: Save File Import!

We’ve just released a major new feature: automatic save file parsing. You can now upload your Skyrim save file (.ess) and the tracker will automatically detect your completed quests!

How it works:

  1. Upload your .ess save file from your Skyrim saves folder
  2. The parser extracts your quest progress, including the exact stage you’ve reached in each quest
  3. Completed quests are automatically marked in your tracker

Current limitations:

This feature is in alpha, and save files are incredibly complex—the more I uncover about how Skyrim stores data, the more intricate it becomes. Right now, only vanilla Skyrim quests are supported due to how the game handles DLC data differently. You may encounter some edge cases or detection errors as I continue to refine the system.

What’s next:

Future updates will bring support for DLC quests, along with automatic detection of inventory items, spells, shouts, and perks. Stay tuned!

Introduction

After hundreds of hours exploring the vast world of Tamriel, have you ever wondered if you’ve truly seen everything Skyrim has to offer? I’ve played around 800 hours, and still I get suprised by things on a regular basis! Achieving a true 100% completion in Skyrim is truly one of gaming’s most ambitious undertakings.

The Scope of Skyrim Completion

Skyrim is massive. With over 250 quests, hundreds of locations to discover, countless books to read, and achievements spanning multiple DLCs, keeping track of what you’ve completed is nearly impossible.

I spent countless hours enjoying the game, but eventually those moments of surprise didcovering something new became fewer and farther between. I wanted to experience everything Skyrim had to offer and I knew there was bits I had missed. So first I turned to the Prima Official Guide - only to find myself lost again in its pages. Then I discovered the community-driven spreadsheets, and something clicked. Here was a way to actually track my progress!

But the spreadsheets came with their own problems: conflicting checklists, missing content, and constant updates after the Anniversary Edition launched. I kept adding more and more manually, until I realised I needed something better: a proper web app. So I built one :)

Here’s a stat that really surprised me: even if you complete every single quest in the game, you’re still only about 5% of the way to true 100% completion! The remaining 95% consists of collecting items, discovering locations, mastering skills, and encountering every possible interaction the game world has to offer.
